This is a donation bar with 100% of proceeds going to Atchafalaya River Rescue. ARR is a local rescue that runs on love & donations as we have no shelter system in this parish. Your donation will help with pet food, vet expenses, etc….wherever funds are needed.

ABOUT ARR: We wanted to take a moment to reintroduce ourselves and share the heart behind what we do. We are Atchafalaya River Rescue (ARR); a small nonprofit comprised of seven women and a handful of very special volunteers and fosters. Founded in January of 2021 in Simmesport, Louisiana by Linda (founder) and Bridget (co-founder) after noticing the overwhelming need for rescue efforts in their hometown.

ARR is foster based only. That means, we do not have a shelter. Rescues are either at our homes or in the homes of our dedicated fosters. Our mission is to provide a temporary loving, safe environment to care for abandoned and unwanted animals in our community. Our ultimate goal is to find them loving forever homes whether through adoption or transport to larger rescue organizations. We strive to provide education to the community about the importance of vet care, heartworm and flea prevention, and spaying/neutering animals.
